That's the way it's supposed to work. But I don't see it on the front page...
For me, there is a scroll bar on the bottom at 1024*768 for the front page. If I want to see the stuff on the right side of the page, I lose the stuff on the left side of the page and vice versa...

yeah, the scroll bar kicks in when the banner ad and logo at the top meet. But everything else continues to resize until you get to a very small size.
That's a basic web design choice...

Depends which computer I'm using. Right now it's a 1280 x 800 laptop. At work I have a couple of 1600 x 1200 tubes. In either case my browser window is normally somewhere between 40-60% of the screen size. I am one of those with lots of varied sized windows all over the place, rarely maximize anything.
