What to do with old receiver

Hi everyone,

I'm going to be upgrading soon to an HD DVR and currently have a 522. If I just get the new receiver shipped to me (they tell me I don't need a new dish, hope that is correct), will they want the old receiver back? If not, is there any use for it? For example, would there be anyway to hook it up to the HD receiver to use the hard drive as extra recording space? They may be a very stupid question, I don't know.

Odds are very good that you are leasing the 522, if so it needs to be returned. DISH will ship a prepayed box for return. You don't tell much about your system but you definitely have 110 & 119 probably a DISH 500. You will need signals from 129 or from 61.5 for HDTV, if you already have one of those no extra dish needed.
