Need help...I am trying to reference a movie and can't recall the title - it's driving me nuts because I usually have an excellent movie memory...good or bad. From what I remember the film was about a computer hacker who was sucked into a mainframe and forced to battle the evil computer system by playing in some sort of silly video game with flying disks and goofy outfits (looked like something Devo would wear). The movie was made in the early 80s (circa '80-'82) and, needless to say, I didn't like it. I thought it may be called Cron or Kron, but I can't find it on IMDB.com and I don't recall any of the actors. Also, I think an arcade video game was made based on the movie...or vice versa.

Thanks in advance...:)

The Tron remake actually looks pretty good! I am one who normally despises remakes of any kind, but this one may take the movie out of the dated campy Disney movie that it was (even at the time) and makes it something more special.

BTW I think Tron made history as the first movie to use 100% CGI for its effects instead of models. Other movies had some CGI, but Tron only used CGI for everything. This is one of the reasons it was placed within a video game so they could get away with some cheesiness. :)

It also had the first 100% CGI character called "Bit". Though this is arguable seeing as it was nothing more than a floating polyhedron.

It isn't a remake. It is a sequel. :D
