First sports memory, I would guess early Ray Borque Boston Bruins Hockey, especially when they played the Whalers. My father paid to get NESN and Sports Channel New England (now CSN New England) during their premium days, so I got to see both the Bruins and Whalers games. My father and I were Bruins fans and I would get ridiculed when I watched the Whalers.
However, the first profound memory is the 86 World Series. I was woken up to see the Sox win, then Buckner happened. I ended up calling up my parents in 04 and waking them up to finally share the moment, only 18 years later.

Also remember asking Dad for another 9 volt battery often when I'd fall asleep with the transistor on listening to Marty Brennaman and Joe Nuxhall call the Reds games.
Those late night West Coast trip were brutal.

Harwell might be the best ever. I grew up listening to the Red's radio also. Good times and I still enjoy baseball over the radio.

I cant give a grade for Vin because when I was growing up early 1990s he wasnt doing national games anymore and I'm a Mets fan so I didnt hear him on Dodgers games.
My earliest memory seems to be Super Bowl 23. I was 6 at the time and I changed my pick from the 49ers to the Bengals and being mad when the Bengals lost.

I remember my cub pack taking us to a Pirates game at Forbes field in '60. Don't remember much about the game except that I had a seat behind a pillar so I had to move around to see everything. I ate too much junk and barfed! I still have the ticket stubs in a scrapbook. Of course that was the year Bill Mazeroski hit the walk-off homer to win the World Series vs. the Yankees...I was listening to the game on my transistor radio in school...the whole school erupted...I think they let us out early!
At Home, watching Football games with my Dad, switching the rotor for the roof antenna between Chicago and Milwaukee to get more games.
In Person, Going to watch the College All-star game practices in the 60's, my uncle coached the College All-stars and I got to hangout at practice a few times. Remember for some reason the tubs full of Orange Crush for the Coaches in the office.

Going to see a Milwaukee Braves game at the old County Stadium. We didn't have a lot of money, so Dad would buy tickets with obstructed view for $1/ea. Usually meant you couldn't see somewhere along the first base line and part of left field.

Going to old Tiger Stadium on June 16 1988 and seeing the green grass from the tunnel from the main concourse.
Yeah, THAT brings back memories...I was Dad's remote control...lol...!
First Sports Memory? It's a toss-up between listening to Jack Brickhouse call Cubs games on our radio tuned to WGN AM 720 and watching the Indianapolis 500 on ABC during the Unser/Foyt/Andretti era.

I LOVED the Old Tiger Stadium. hated where it was located but loved the stadium.
My grandfather back in the 50's would have the Cubs on TV and the White Sox on the radio or vice versa depending on which team was playing at home. My grandmother would make him turn one of them off because she did not want to listen to two games at the same time.
I can't believe this memory is fast approaching 50 years!! [emoji15][emoji15]
