Now that I've un-subbed to E*, I could still leave my old D500 up and install my old LNBs. I'll still have my 4900 receiver after I send back the 622 and current LNBs. I might be tempted to make it operational just to watch Charlie Chats.

What else does E* make available to non-subs?

oh contrair...there is more in "fixed key" mode :)

My 811 (unsubscribed for almost a year now) right now gets (as of yesterday)

the legit FTA channels (legit as in a free to air box can pick them up too)
101, 480, 490 (the Home channel)
NASA
Angel One
The PPV preview channels (103, 500)
240 (the "you could get nets through AAD" channel)
100 (the screens are locked but you can still use the other apps in there)

and the "fixed key" channels (they're free on a Dish box but are scrambled still on a FTA box)
all the knockoff shopping channels (216-228)
CCTV9 & CCTVE (265 & 884)
Sirius music preview (156 & 919)
3Angels (9710)...if you have a dish at 61.5 or 129

and any channel that Dish has in freeview...like the Starz Previews, the previews they talk about on channel 102 and if you have a dish at 61.5, 129 or 148 some ethnic channels are in freeview (including a channel...not naming it...but news from Europe if you catch my drift) ;)

why the heck not? as long as the card is a current one (yellow) it works. Oh by the way...I havent had a sub in over a year. The 811 is mainly used for OTA digital

My 5000 with a blue card only gets the FTA channels posted (minus 100 as it never got that from the get go)

DAMN Dish

When they took off the freeview of Euronews they gave me the black screen of death on all channels other than the "FTA" ones....

101 103 213 240 262 500 580 9900 9902 5710 show
the rest that the box shows as available (as posted above) just give me black screen....no picture or sound but no "not available" wither
