It says "Congratulations! You have the Dish 500!"
When I check about the 1000, it says "Congratulations! You have the Dish 1000!"

What is the difference between the two? When I had to check the signal last week, it says I'm on the Dish 500.

thanks

The D500 was designed to receive two sat. slots, 110 and 119, whereas the D1000 was designed for those two plus 129...

The "Congratulations" channels have no way to know what kind of dish you actually have. All they really do is confirm reception of the 110 and 129 satellites. Ch 101 serves the same purpose for 119.
