What's the reason for two "Info" screens?

As for the batteries, I have 4 remotes with 4 batteries each. Multiply that by the number of Dish customers (11,000,000?) and you a lot of batteries that need to be replaced and that add to landfill waste. Did you know Americans throw away 86,000,000 pounds of food a day?

WOW...I should stop using all my 10 remotes and walk to TV/DVR/DVD/VCR and manually do all things to save the planet

I have a life. That's why I say rechargeable batteries work well & saves $$.

Get a harmony remote that has rechargable batteries and a charging dock, and program the info button to automatically press info 2 times then delay for 10 seconds and press cancel.
