What's the skinny about DISH equip on EBAY?

Looking to get a 522, good prices on EBAY but what is the downside with DISH - and do I need more cable runs to the dish or other accessories to make it work?

The downside is Dish may not activate it.

Currently the 522 is for lease customers only, hence Dish owns the equipment.

Some people have had luck getting the 522 activated, BUT the 522 has to be brand new, never activated, any you must be a certain grade of customer to Dish ie how much is your bill and do you pay on time.

Lets be specific. There were a few that escaped as sold, buying such is valid. Most others you are not buying the machine, just getting a machine that you could of got essentially free form DISH and paying for it as lease.

Anything else is stolen equipment belongin to Dish.
