We are preparing to retire. Part of the plan is to sell the house and go out on the road in our motor home. We won't be cancelling Dish because I have a dish on the roof of the motorhome. Eventually, we will move into another home (nursing or otherwise) and eventually we will have to cancel Dish.

When you cancel Dish, you are required to return the LNB. Aside from the fact that I am not climbing on the roof to retrieve it, the house will be long gone. I won't be able to send back the LNB from the motor home. It's built into the Kingdome on the roof.

Should I pay someone to take it down so I will have it to return when I cancel the service, or can I get that requirement waived?

Just tell them you are unable to get to it and they will waive it.
