When Using a Directv SWM 16, how many splitters can be used in total before signal issues?

Directv only supports splitting 8 ways (one 8 way, three 2 ways, etc.) with no run being longer than 150'. The loss of one splitter is roughly equal to the loss of 50' of RG6 so if you have a short run you can split it more and still be within spec signal wise.

Is there a particular reason you're asking? I'm assuming you've run into some situation where you don't have home runs back to the SWM16 so you need to split at every receiver? If that's the case, and rewiring is not feasible, you can probably do it and remain within spec if you use taps rather than splitters.

Thank you for replying to my question. i am working in a Bar and there are a few New Tvs next to each other and yes difficult to run a new homerun so wanted to use a Two wat DTV splitter since new Tv is like 5 feet away.

How do you set up a H25 directv Remote ID ?
