I am having Directv installed on Monday and I was told I need to buy a tripod since I live in an apartment. So my question is where can I buy one locally? I just north of L.A.? They installation company will sell me one for $60 but they told me it would be cheaper if I were to buy it myself.

Thanks for the help!!

Oh ok I will check them out.. a couple other questions i have..
whats the best way to tie it down or whatever so the wind doesn't blow it over?
and they orginaly sent out the 5lnb dish but they said they couldnt mount it to a tripod is this correct?

Thanks

There shouldn't be any reason why they can't mount it to a tripod. The mast size for those dishes are the same for other DBS dishes. When I installed someone that lived in a apartment I always got a 5 gallon bucket and put concrete in it with the 1 5/8" pole. Level it up and let it firm up a bit. Then put the dish on there.

Another good reason not to work satellite install
