Who gets the money from the install when doing a grey market?

OK I figured out that *C must pay someone to do the installation, since they have it listed as "free". When TVM activated my *C system, she said that she had to call in as the installer.

Would they be paying her as the installer? Does she get paid for this install by *C, as well as the $75 activation fee? Or, would the retailer be getting the money for the install?

Yes, she gets paid as the Installer of record.

That is also why some brokers REFUSE to take on used equipment SC equipment.

Exactly! Starchoice pays its dealers $150 cdn to install a system. Every system I sell down here, my dealer/broker gets the install plus a small residual on programming each month. All I get is the markup on the original sale - sigh.
