We're working today, which sucks seeing as we're a defense contractor. All the gov't people here have the day off though.
Our other locations have the day off, but I think we have to work since we get "Dead Deer Day" off instead.

My wife has to work Thanksgiving and Christmas this year too.

We get double time working the holidays plus the holiday pay we would get if we were off. I am a trouble shooter for a power company here in Northern Virginia. It's a 24 hour a day nightmare sometimes.
I was in the office all day, and the crew worked all day.
And both my daughters had school today as well.
