But ... The 6306 is one of the HD locals for LA. Our HD locals are 6407, 6408 and 6409 for ABC, CBS and NBC. Same as you, we do not see CC. This is a Dish problem.

In LA:

ABC HD: 6306, no CC, 007-1 CC works fine.
CBS HD: 6307, no CC, 002-1 CC works fine.
NBC HD: 6308, no CC, 004-1 CC works fine.
FOX HD: 6309, no CC, 011-1 CC works fine.

Others have posted that the last s/w update the other night has fixed, or at least helped, the cc issue on the ViP622.

The problem with the CC is that sometimes is way behind the picture. I was watching NG HD and it was the case. Starz HD still does not have CC.

I tried turning on my 942's CC while watching OTA HD, and the problem was just the opposite, the captions were popping up about 1-3 seconds before the actors said the lines.
