But isn't this completely bogus? As in, they're going on a very small # of wrecks and as far as I can tell have cited no specific faulty operation other than letting drivers get by with too much inattention. Has Tesla agreed with this fix or has the recall come with issues in dispute? Apparently the theory is going that drivers are over-relying on the car to execute in critical short-notice situations- that since it often reacts faster and better than a driver, the driver begins to become deconditioned to quick-response alertness. I wouldn't want to see my response time lengthening because of a car making more promises than it can always keep.
