Why would an H3 recording jump to the end mid-recording?

A couple of recordings that report as complete hour long recordings have jumped to the end from the middle.

Any thoughts what might be triggering this?

I had this happen consistently on my Hopper with Sling last year for months and months. It was primarily on Bravo, but would happen elsewhere sporadically. I had it replaced twice, and it still did it, until Dish finally upgraded me to a Hopper 3. It has worked fine until about three weeks ago when it did it again. It was extremely frustrating because you'd have to start the recording over and fast forward to where the show dumped out, and then it would work fine through the end of the recording. Most times. Reboots didn't help, even a full hard reset. Dish is aware of the problem, but doesn't have a cure.

When it lasts happened to me I would fast forward to before the bad spot and then use the skip button to jump past it. Sometimes it worked sometimes didn't

I have had this happen on all Dish DVRs I've ever owned. No idea what causes it, but it is a rare nuisance.
