anyone try this in Ubuntu for speed using OpenDNS and what happened..????


$ sudo cp /etc/resolv.conf /etc/resolv.conf.auto
$ gksudo gedit /etc/dhcp3/dhclient.conf
# append the following line to the document
prepend domain-name-servers 208.67.222.222,208.67.220.220;
# save and exit
$ sudo ifdown eth0 && sudo ifup eth0

First of all, you're in the wrong forum.

Second of all, that wouldn't do anything to your speed. You're just using another set of DNS servers, which in all probability are slower to respond then those of WildBlue that are within their network.
