I have am a Dish Network subscriber and have two receivers in my house: an HD-DVR dual tuner receiver downstairs and a regular SD dual-tuner receiver upstairs. Now that we are in the DTV world, my older TVs won't work without a receiver when we take it tailgating this year. I plan to use the SD receiver, but would like to know if I have to get a Dish Network satellite dish for tailgating? Or, can I get any type dish out there?

I did read some posts in other areas saying that mobile units should use a regular single-LNB, circular 18" dish because they're easier to point and find a signal. Sounds good to me. Now I just need to know if I'm restricted to a brand or not before I go searching on eBay for one.

Thanks a million!

I would suggest a dish 500 and depending on the programming you want to watch would depenf on what type of LNB you need. I would also suggest going or calling your dish network retailer and asking him what you would need then look on ebay.
