Does Dish plan to move Voom channels to a different satellite? I'm planning on starting the HD package, but I don't want to install a second dish. I now have the Dish 500 with AT60. I get my locals with an OTA antenna. I'd like to add the Voom channels down the road if I can get the AT60, HD package and Voom channels with 1 dish. Thanks.

They're on 129 now, but the one dish (Dish 1000, sees 110/119/129) solution isn't available to the public, yet.
Will it just be mirrored on 129 (like it is now) or actually removed from 61.5?Iceberg said:

I doubt the V* channels will be dropped from 61.5.

about a month ago when echo 5 lit up.. the became avable to subs who are fortuante enough to point a dish that way or to people who just happen to do a superdish 1000 by adding the 4th lnbf to the setup.. about two weeks ago..
well thanks! I wonder if I can repoint one of my dishes for that? I currently have one set for 110-119 and another for 148. since I don't need 110-119 anymore...

CSR's wont know anything yet as the 129 solution hasnt been announced.. tell them you have a dish at 61.5 and have them activate it.. then point to 129 and you will be in..
I wonder if E* will announce Dish 1000, 129, VOOM HD expansion, Sigificantly Viewed, MPEG-4, 411/962, and National HD plans for the big 25th Anniversay Charlie Chat? You know...like useful information. 
Well when the MPEG4 receivers come out you should be able to get them with one Dish! Dish 500 should be able to get them all sometime next year due to they most likely will move all of the Voom HD where the rest is. But not untill they free up bandwidth which should happen on MPEG4.

I think you might be surprised with what is announced either during Monday nites chat or the next retailer chat. Just have a gut feeling about it. Not sure of what exactly but...
