Wilmington sd locals are on 119, so you will need an sl5.

I don't know, but Directv requires reception of sd locals even with an hd install.

When he said Moving, I was thinking He was moving and possibly doing the install, thus he could use whatever he wanted.

However, as you said, if D* is doing the install then Yes, he'll need a SL5

I never thought of that Jimbo. He sure could install an sl3 and be good to go. I have one and my local sd channels are on 119.

Thanks all. I'm full-time RVer with DNS but may settle down in Wilmington for a spell. Pay for Reno Locals but haven't been under the beam for years. Use an SL3s (SWM) on a tripod but thought I'd get an SL5s if I need one. But since I'm HD, if I understand, I don't care.

Thanks again.

The only thing the sl5 will get you is some music channels, spanish channels, and some religious channels.

Yup, you got a long ways to go to get under that spot beam ... :D

Don't forget CCTV News (ch 2119) and Arirang (ch 2095)! They are included, for some reason, with the English packages (At least Xtra) if you can see the 119.

Well I'm here in my rolling outhouse. Got set up fine and have Wilmington Locals. Funny thing is that CW HD is in the guide but says I must pay. CS says no CW here. Don't really care.

Bigger question. Bought a stick house. Already has SL5s dish. Rather than pulling Cat6 for my other connected toys, I have read I can connect my modem DSL or Cable) to a switch or router with Cat6, my HR34 to that via its RJ45 port and then a CCK between cable and any Ethernet device, or shared switch, and will be connected. No need to pull Ethernet.

Anyone have a simple diagram to help me get this right.
