For some time the dish remote access site has had a problem editing the name of existing timers. If you try, you get an "Unknown error" message. I recently discovered how to get it to work. You just need to change something else at the same time. I changed the number of saved recordings, but I assume anything else would work. After you've successfully changed the name, you can restore the other change(s) you made if necessary.
