Not sure if this has been previously discussed or not, but wouldn't it be neat if D* were to allow you to click on a transponder on the Signal Strength page and press INFO for what is carried on that transponder? We would be able to see a list of each channel (name or number). And if they move channels from one transponder to another, all those printed lists we see on this forum (and others) wouldn't be accurate anymore...but we could just click on "Transponder 8" and see that ESPNHD, ESPN2HD, HBOHD and HGTVHD are all stacked together. This might help us slightly more tech savvy users to troubleshoot our own issues by determining the channel problems and where the problem might be.

Just a thought... :eureka

at least have it under the iamanedgecutter menu.

You use to be able to do exactly that in some of the older rec.'s,
I know the old RCA's had some that did that, the RCA 222 series for sure, you had to hold a few buttons to get to the special menu, but you could do exactly that, choose Channel and get the transponder or choose transponder and get all the channel that showed up on that location.

Sounds like...

once again "New and Improved"! Just like TV Guide. The new and improved one that doesn't tell you what's on tv. Brilliant!

Well, to be honest, the majority of subs have no idea what transponder thier channels are on or even care about it as long as it works, so it mainly us type of people that want to know this type of stuff.
