well with the big xbox 360 HD DVD Drive price drop, i've been thinking of picking one up! lol but i dont have a 360. so i was wondering, could i hook it up to my laptop easily and then hook my laptop up to my HDTV and watch HD DVD's on it? because we don't have an hd dvd player in the living room, and it would be cool to be able to pick this up with all those free movies and remote for $50 so i have the option to watch my hd dvd's in any room.

Was just looking at this as an idea today but my HTPC is running Linux/MythTV and its not nearly as easy.

He will also need high-def outputs in order to hook it to a TV. Would have to be a PCMCIA card and probably pretty expensive!
VGA, component, DVI, HDMI - all will do, depending on available inputs on TV...
But if the PC is not relatively new (less than a year), the video card would probably be of not much help in decoding HD DVD video and a powerful CPU will be needed...
