Effective on August 13, 2008, the annual subscription price of Zee Sports America will be changed from $149.99/year to $249.99/year*. Additionally, effective the same day, monthly subscriptions will no longer be available for Zee Sports America. Existing customers will be notified of these changes, which will be applied the first time their bills cycle on or after August 13th. See channel details below.

Programming Description/Channel:

Zee Sports America
Zee Sports America is a sports channel from the Indian subcontinent catering to the sporting interests of South Asian population in USA. The channel has live cricket from India, Pakistan, and England and also sports shows, talk shows, news magazine, and other live sports from the Indian subcontinent. Zee Sports America will show all international cricket matches live from India, Pakistan, and England. This equates to more than 100 days of live international cricket every year!

I don't think Dish has anything to do with the price.

Viewers are lucky it doesn't disappear. Normally, Dish says buh bye to channels that jack their rates like that.

Dish probably does not care with this since it is not in a package. A la carte programmers can charge a lot and Dish just passes it along to the view directly. It is when it is in AT100 and they want a big price increase that Dish drops them.
