So, if I'm interpreting the information correctly, the only thing the Dish subs will be missing through the 2013 season by not getting MLB Network are up to 26 out-of-market games a year. All local team's games will still be broadcast by your local networks.

Since I already get all of the highlights and baseball news I need from ESPN, it looks like I'll be able to survive without MLBN, at least for the next five years.

Yea a lot can happen in 5 years. I'm sure those 26 games will be low rating games anyway. If they turn out to be Good teams ,they will just move them to more Highly viewed channel and time. Like they do with anything else.

Actually, I find it interesting that you, a DirecTV sub, have the second most number of posts in this thread, with over 50.

Doesn't seem to that popular with that many Dish subs.
I find it interesting that you actually took the time to go through 20 pages of a thread to count how many posts I made. Anyway, it doesn't matter if I made 1 or 60 posts, it is irrelevant to my point.

right here in ct
with pitchers and catchers due to report inless than a month. I'm starting to itch for baseball again. nothing like watching spring training when it is cold and snowing here in the northeast. If your a baseball nut nothing can be more exciting than pitchers and catchers reporting date.

Just because you a baseball nut does not mean that you have left E* if you live in the market that your team plays. If I lived where I could not see the SOX play every day I would have left two years ago when E* dropped the ball on Extra innings. We still get the ESPN games and Fox SAturday games and the Baseball tonight every night. I would love to get MLB netwok as anouther option to keep up on the rest of the teams. but not enough to leave E* over ONE channel. Love E* equipment to much. Now if there more of a disparity between the E* & D* that would be a different story. MLB looks very promising and wish I had it , but for now will live w/out it. SO basiclly there are plenty of so called baseball nuts still here on Dish network.

This is what your point is.
But it seems false because you and quite a few D* customers posted a number of times in this thread. You guys wanted it and you got it. So what is your point?
I agree that quite a few Direct subs have posted, but that does not change the fact that most of the posts are by Dish subs and this was started by a Dish sub who wants this channel.

You don't have to manually count. Go back to the forum page and click on the number in the Replies column for this thread.

Once most Dish subs realize the most they'll really be missing by not having the channel is one non-exclusive game a week that they weren't going to get before MLBN came along, it probably won't be such a big deal...

Most of the posting in this Thread, is from, HEMI,Dodgerking,Juan,MSmith,Scobuck,Curtis,Vamps,Rey, Iceburg,HDRoberts.
From this list 1 person is complaining about not having MLB. After that I've only see about 20 out of 400 post that want MLB with E*.

Exactly what I did. Took about 10 seconds. And as pointed out, it is relevant. There are only a few Dish subs on SatGuys (and only one very vocal) that seem to care that much about MLB Network.

Actually, out of the top five, two of us are Direct subs (ScoBuck and myself) the other 3 are Dish or other. then the next three below that are Direct subs as well. It does look like most of the posts on this thread are by Direct subs.

As for myself, it is pretty much only this Dish thread that I have posted in, not because it is Dish or I want to criticize them, but because it was a MLB thread. Me being the baseball junky will try to get involved in any MLB thread (including the political sites I frequent) and it doesn't matter which forum it is located.

Its cool. I Know you love baseball. Thats why I'm having some fun. I wouldn't mind having MLB, But I've done without it this long, I think I can wait if I have too. Or fullfill my plan of a single HD receiver with D* Still in the air right now, But I think thats what I'm going to end up doing for my Yankees 2009 season. That channel is on my list over MLB with E*. But I've not heard a single thing on E* adding Yes network. I wish D* had an HD only pack. I think that would make my choice really clear on who I want my basepack from. I like E* But mostly their premiums and DVR.

Believe me if E got the MLBEI back I would drop D in a heartbeat. So you can count me with the others as wanting the MLBN. I keep holding out that E will negotiate one of these years and bring it back. By the way I have both E and D and D for baseball only. I shut it off after the last pitch of the season.
