NHL 2013 Stanley Cup Playoffs

I suspect they will be hoping the Wings and Hawks game is over by 10:30, I however would not expect it to be.

Basically means No Post Game show for the 1st game.

They could always put the start of the Sharks-Kings game on CNBC (as long as the Bruins-Rangers game is over) or NHLN if the Hawks-Wings game goes to OT.

As far as a postgame goes, you could always tune into NHLN, or more importantly your RSN.

Good point ...

Why is it that the NHL Network doesn't show any of the playoff games when they have multiple games on a night ?

NHLN has showed a handful of playoff games (they usually use RSN feeds). But the pecking order goes 1. NBCSN 2. CNBC 3. NHLN.........it all comes down to subscribers.

Nice to see the Bruins-Rangers game starting at 7:00 PM. I should be able to watch more than one-half of the game before and during intermission breaks of the Detroit-Chicago game. Now, as far as excitement level goes:

  • Bruins-Rangers: the game is dud to everyone other than Bruins and Rangers fans. The Rangers are on the ropes and the ref is getting ready to call the fight. Now, should the Rangers will a couple games...different story.
  • Detroit-Chicago: this game should be a blockbuster. Chicago is highly-talented and very-frustrated after going down in this series to the Wings. There's no doubt they will play inspired hockey this evening, but Detroit has played well and they will be playing at the Joe. If Detroit wins the Blackhawks are in trouble (but certainly talented enough to come back); however, if Chicago wins the series is tied at 2-2 and they have home ice advantage. Huge game for both teams!
  • Sharks-Kings: this series is tied at 2 games each with both teams winning their home games. While LA may have home ice advance, San Jose has the momentum of winning the last two games. This should be a barn-burner and the winner of tonight's game will most likely win the series. Huge game for both teams!

Anyway, that's how I see tonight's games...

Good Analysis !

Looking forward to a great night of hockey!!! I'm picking the winners of the last three Stanley Cups to win their respective games this evening.

GO BRUINS!!!

I will be ...

Watching the Tigers till Red Wing time, then back to Tigers during intermissions.

Unless one or the other is a blow out.

I wish I could watch the Tigers game this evening, but such is life. I tried MLB Network, but I was not happy with the broadcast quality. It looked fine on my laptop, but I was not impressed with how the picture looked when I connected it to the big screen via HDMI...and the action fast-action wasn't "smooth" even though I have 30/10 connection. To be honest, I never checked how it looked on my PS3, but I can't see how the PQ would be any better using laptop/HDMI.

Bruins 0, Rangers 0 end of 1

The good news: the Bruins carried the play in the first period

The bad news: King Henrik is on his game

Your not missing anything, so far the Tigers are in a RAIN DELAY .... Imagine that !

Red Wings playing sloppy with the puck at the moment, they better pick up thier passing or it will be in the back of the wrong net.

So far Jimmy Howard has saved the day for them, made 2 or 3 stops on clean open Hawk players shots.

Wings can be happy they are not down by 2 or 3 at the end of 1st period.
Playing very lackadaisical, lots of poor passes and unforced turnovers.

Need to correct that in the intermission.
