Ya and I notice that Keslowski didn't say anything about Jr running out of gas, he THINKS he blew by him ....

Jr had the faster and better car all day, then again, he's ran out of gas in the lead before as well.
They are saying that once you've won, your in the Chase ...
What happens if theres a different winner for each race up to Richmond, while I doubt that there won't be racer winning 2 or more races, but 1 win may NOT get you in.
Then again, they may not have 16 different winners either which would mean points would get you in still ...

Thats not how I took it ...
I took it as if there were more than 16 they would go by points total for the final spots.
But, I don't KNOW that for a fact.
It would be good for Jr. to Win another, seeing he's been Very close lately.
More than 1 win more than likely would guarantee your in.
Jr, would have Won today if he had another pint of gas in the engine, he seemed to be able to pull away when he wanted to late when he did have gas.
This morning on ESPN they said that winning a race all BUT guarantees a spot in the chase. So it is 16 no more, no less.

also if there is only 10 winners in the 1st 26 races, then spots 11-16 would be the top points drivers who didnt win a race
edit: looking on jayski its the 15 winners + the highest points that didnt win a race
Fifteen of the 16 slots in the Chase Grid are reserved for the drivers with the most race wins over the first 26 races. The remaining spot is reserved for the points leader after 26 races, if that driver does not have a victory. If fewer than 16 drivers have wins in the first 26 races, the remaining Chase Grid spots are filled by winless drivers in order of season points.
In theory, you could Win a race and still Not get in though.
If you were the lowest in points among and there are more than 16 winners.

correct. lets say there are 17 winners during the 1st 26 races. The top 15 go to the winners who have the most points. the 16th is for the highest non winner
i think one of the other rules is for the winners you have to be in the top 30 in points to qualify

That shouldn't be too hard, unless a winner comes out of no where, which can happen from time to time.
I thought they had to be in the top 25 in points. (I don't know for sure, just trying to remember)
