I’m trying to setup two legacy SW44’s for a friend who uses large single dishes instead of DPP equipment. He wants to add a fifth receiver. Is there a diagram out there?

Very easy!

Get (4) high frequency (900-2050) MHZ 2 way power passing splitters.

Put it on each of the 4lines coming from the dish and run into each switch.

Make sure the splitter on port 1 is also used for port 1 on the other switch.

Do the same for port 2,3 and 4

The splitters can be all port power pass or single port power pass and either 40-2050 MHZ OR 900-2050 MHz.

you can get them cheap online or I believe HOME DEPOT has the right splitters in their electrical dept

Legacy equipment should no longer function on DISH systems. Receivers older than VIP are discontinued and most VIP receivers are on the border line or are discontinued.

You Can use legacy with Dishpro.

You can’t use dishpro with legacy unless you have a dishpro adaptor. However there are no legacy receivers so that’s a mute issue.

You're right, I've been out of the business too long. Remember this?

Yeah, but is was basically (2) Sw21’s

But the neat thing was you could cascade a SW21 with an SW42 and see all 3 sats

There used to be a knock off switch by micro royal called a sw21x which was basically 1/2 an sw42 for cascading purposes.
