    The picture quality is outstanding on the MPEG-4 channels, I've actually been very satisfied with the MPEG-2 quality also, but these new channels are unbelievable.

    I think this is changing over there as others Brott, Tom Robertson, Stuart Sweet are becoming key contacts with DIRECTV also. I think they have back up for Earl should something happen that he can't run the process, after all at some point he will have to take a vacation.

    They have pretty much fixed the glich, and anyone that has the latest CE for the HR20-700 and are networked wii have the beta soon.

    I would go with both for awhile until you feel comfortable dropping E* entirely. I did that with Charter Cable and it gave me a chance to compare their lousy Moxi DVR with the HR20. :)
