I was wondering if a diplexor would work with a diseqc switch.
I have a 4 port switch feeding a pansat 9200 and would like to utilize my hidef off air antenna.
Do I put the diplexor after the switch or insert it before one of the ports?
Thanks

This is how I have mine....

Pansat--------------->diplex----------------->other diplex---------------> diseqc----------------------->dish

I also did this once....

Pansat--------------->diseqc-----------------> diplex---------------> other diplex----------------------->22 khz----------->dish

and

Pansat--------------->22 khz-----------------> diplex---------------> other diplex----------------------->diseqc----------->dish

As long as the diplex are in order is should work. Putting a diseqc in the middle of them would not work and make little sense.

Diplexers will attenuate both satellite and terrestrial signals by 3dB (3dB is equal to the doubling of power). This attenuation often eliminates the weaker channels.

We advise installers not to use diplexers in FTA systems unless there are no other options.
