Live coverage: Orion launch scrubbed
A stray boat, pesky winds and stuck valves on the Delta 4-Heavy rocket conspired to delay launch of NASA's first space-worthy Orion spacecraft Thursday. Liftoff is reset for 7:05 a.m. EST (1205 GMT) Friday, pending resolution of the valve problem.
Different rocket. Not the one carrying DIRECTV 14. :)

I feel like were in the beginning episode of Band of Brothers when the D day jump keeps getting postponed... LOL No Launch Tonight....

From ISRO's website.
GSAT-16 Launch rescheduled on early morning of Dec 06, 2014 at 02:09 hrs (IST) is postponed due to inclement weather conditions at French Guiana.

It appears that it is delayed from the same thing, upper atmosphere winds are too strong to support a launch. Someone needs to turn off the weather making machine in the high atmosphere above Kourou.

Official press release from Arianespace for today's non launch. Next attempt TBD:

Arianespace Flight VA221: Ariane 5 ECA – DIRECTV-14 and GSAT-16; Launch postponed
Kourou, December 5, 2014

Another launch date will be decided depending on the evolution of the weather conditions in Kourou.

Tech Report

Thinking back in time, this launch will include what is probably the biggest addition to US satellite TV spectrum since the Ciel (Dish) satellite entered operation at 129W. Going to be interesting to see how and when DirecTV chooses to use the additional capacity.

If they are on schedule, fueling is complete and the chill down of the Vulcan engine is in progress.
