They have a wireless on/off and WPS buttons on one side

I would connect it directly to my pc as if it was a new router, and set it up, then connect it to the rest of the network. You probably also want to turn OFF the wireless on the 2nd router.

if this is above you, I'd get a professional to help set it up.
