Extant

I guess one gotta have a thing for sci-fi to watch this one.
I don´t remember watching Outer Limits. But I remember another sci-fi show that started on Showtime, Stargate SG-1 around 97 I think.
SG1 was the "Late comer" to Showtime's SciFriday line-up. Showtime had The Outer Limits on just before SG1 every Friday night. The new Outer Limits ran on Showtime for 5 years. SciFi grabbed the last two years of original content.

Showtime's SciFriday was really the only reason I subscribed to Showtime when I first got Dish In 1997. There was
Dead Man's Gun
Poltergeist: The Legacy
Total Recall: 2070
Jeremiah (in the early 2000s)
Odyssey 5 (in the early 2000s)
Lexx (sci-porn-fantasy)
Dead Like Me (in the early 2000s)

I know I am forgetting one or two other series part of SciFriday.
Interestingly enough, maybe three of these series were truly a scifi series. The rest were fantasies or paranormal.

Yes, the google search I posted, revealed the same thing about Outer Limits run on both Showtime and Sci-fi network. I used to really like Showtime back then when they showed all that sci-fi shows. I used to love Dead Like Me and Odyssey 5 as well as the rebooted Outer Limits.

Well the Japanese guy said it: "They are here", whoever they are, but I have to say I read it first on Satelliteguys, don´t remember who wrote that here some posts above, but apparently your hunch was right, whoever those "they" are.

One thing that made me laugh was Berry saying "No, Thank you" to the robot who offered to enlighten her on the Neanderthal.
Seriously ? I thought a human would just have to ignore the robot, but who knows ? maybe Berry didn´t want to hurt the robot´s feelings, so she politely declined that offer.

So is Extant going to be about saving the human race from extinction? Is it the threat from the alien baby or the robot babies that is the threat?

Or could the threat come from the "they" that the Japanese guy referred to when he said: "They are already here" ?

Viewers flock to Halle Berry's new show 'Extant'
CBS’ multi-faceted drama “Extant” drew the largest audience for a series premiere this summer and was last week's most-watched prime-time program.

“Extant,” which stars Halle Berry and whose executive producers include fellow Oscar-winner Steven Spielberg, averaged 9.58 million viewers, according to live-plus-same-day figures released by Nielsen Tuesday.

“Extant” was also the summer's most-watched premiere among among viewers between the ages of 18-49, the group ABC, Fox and NBC target and advertisers covet because it watches less television and is harder to reach. However, it was 10th for the week among the group, including Spanish-language programs. (Cable figures for the group were not available.)

Berry apparently continues with those strange hallucinations. Sounds like they did mess with her.
Regarding her pregnancy, what the guy told him was a "believable lie".

Hey guys,
As for the ratings go ....
If you DVR the show on the original night obviously, does it count in the ratings ?
I typically will DVR shows and watch them a day or two later ...

Hell, I got a half a season of Unforgettable that I haven't had time to sit down and watch, do,they get counted in the rating because the dvr is still recording them ?

I think I remember that when ABC settled their auto hop lawsuit against DISH , that the remedy was no auto hop for 3 days. So Maybe they only count the ratings for the first 3 days? But then again, I have seen other articles that say that they average in the dvr users for up to 7 days after it airs.
