I have D* and have started my 6 month HD experiment. Consequently, I have an HD ready TV and use the Hughes HTL-HD receiver.

Since I have cable internet, I get basic cable for free. If/when my cable company begins to broadcast in HD, will my HTL-HD be able to pick up the cable signals in HD? If not the HTL-HD, is ther another DirecTV HD Receiver that will?

Thanks

No, although there are some D* receivers that were originally designed for that purpose D* has disabled the ability to get HD cable through their receivers.

Any chance that some old units that do get it might be available in the secondary market???
