Just for clarity of those new folks who may not know: (Amazon) Fire TV/Tablets = Forked Android. Even though the Fire OS is based on Android, it does require separate development, but considering Dish (and Echostar?) good/close relationship with Amazon as of late, I feel very confident that Dish will continue to develop and support its Fire TV/Tablet apps. for the foreseeable future. So apps work with iOS, Android, and Fire OS (forked Android).
