During last few months I received telephone calls from friends and other people who used to have old sat receivers and presently can not watch their TV since their programs are now broadcasted only in HD. Typically, my advice was to buy newer receiver and program it. For some people, programming is not easy.
A few days ago I bought from Amazon a receiver, for only $35 CAD, and no tax. This is the cheapest receiver ever. I programmed it, taking many photos, and hope such a post would be good reference for others, needing receiver upgrade. Maybe the price will go up, but even $60-70 in present inflationary times would be OK...
regards,

I intended to upload photos in the same order as I made them, but, somehow, my option to upload was changed. Now I will add remaining 6 photos:

Lower cost products can have quality control issues. Not saying this model has. If so, there may be no avenue to follow in order to recover from the issue. Of course, if cost is low then there isn't too much lost if the unit stops performing.

For me, since it's a hobby, I like exploring the technology of advanced designs.
