NCAA Football 2008-09 Season

So, how exactly is the Big 12 South going to determine their representative to face Mizzou in Kansas City two weeks from now?

Texas, Tech, and OU will all have one loss and have won and lost against each other once.

If three or more teams are tied, steps 1 through 7 will be followed until a determination is made. If only two teams remain tied after any step, the winner of the game between the two tied teams shall be the representative.
  1. The records of the three teams will be compared against each other
  2. The records of the three teams will be compared within their division
  3. The records of the three teams will be compared against the next highest placed teams in their division in order of finish (4, 5 and 6)
  4. The records of the three teams will be compared against all common conference opponents;
  5. The highest ranked team in the first Bowl Championship Series Poll following the completion of Big 12 regular season conference play shall be the representative
  6. The team with the best overall winning percentage [excluding exempted games] shall be the representative
  7. The representative will be chosen by draw.

When it comes to college coaches that run up the score, where does Stoops rank?

Would you rank him ahead of Spurrier? Tom Osbourne? Bobby Bowden? the Houston Cougars run-and-shoot coaches?

He coaches to the final gun, good for him.

Nothing wrong with putting 70 on the supposed 2nd best team in college.

Where does TT fan rank among the whiners? Did they care when they put it on Kansas?

Probably, will be Matthew Stafford to the Lions. But don't rule out Crabtree.:D

If I had to guess on Bradford, I would say the 49ers or Chiefs.

I originally said Stafford a while back, but not sure now.... of course neither will look any good in a Lions uniform.

Which guy is more mobile ?
They pretty much are the same guy, from what I can see.

Jimbo

Texas it goes to the highest ranked team at the time. I can see OK being ranked number 2 but don't think they will jump that far. if anything since Texas beat them i see them at number 3! Texas at number 2..

If you can dish it you better be able to take it. TT showed no mercy against Kansas and Oklahoma St. At least Oklahoma has blown out TT with a complete effort, running, passing, defense. TT just blows people out by throwing on every down, even when they're up by 40.

I bet the rest of the Big 12 is smiling tonight .

Just found out that next Saturday night's primetime ABC game will be the Bedlam game- OU/OKState.

Next week- GO COWBOYS!

I don't care who the Sooners play- I will NEVER root for them!

A few things to say. It happens every single year. Some team from the Big 12 is the greatest things to come out of ******(pick your city/state) "in 10 years" and they get mauled by somebody. Secondly, I have NO ISSUES with running your offense but THROWING winning 52-14 AND having your starting QB STILL in the game in the 4th quarter??!! You ALMOST DESERVE to get him hurt.....
Finally, no big deal.....TT is NOWHERE near that bad and Oklahoma is NOWHERE near that good.

Is it the players that make the team great, or the team that makes the players great?

I know lots of people say how great Bradford is, but I remember the same praise for Jason White.

Is the QB that good, or is an "insert player here" system where anyone in that position is great?

Honestly, IMO, if you put HD MM behind center for Oklahoma, he's put up video game numbers.

Doesn't matter. They could still make the NC.

Do you remember in 2001 when Nebraska didn't even win their own DIVISION and lucked out into the national title game?

This would be the same damn thing.

No excuses- if you do not win your conference OUTRIGHT, you do not get a free pass.

Well, I hope you're happy.

You wanted Tech to lose- you got it.

But, I will say it- Oklahoma is C-L-A-S-S-L-E-S-S.
