What about fixing the 30 minute blind scan and freezing problem during blind scan?

What about fixing the 30 minute blind scan and freezing problem during blind scan?

It amazes me how these manufactures (regardless of which FTA STB product) spend plenty of time optimizing the add-ons, yet fail to get the basic stuff, like Blind Scan, and motor functions etc on these STBs working right. It kind of blows the mind!:confused:

I couldn't agree more!

but as long as people keep buying them hoping it gets fixed later the manufacturers take their sweet ass time fixing them

Of course most of us know that there are many out there that bought Openboxes, Az Boxes, Manhattans and many, many more brands. These boxes have been in the U.S. market much, much longer and they still have their firmware gremlins that need to be resolved.

If they hadn't been introduced to the U.S. market we might still be using Satwork receivers. But, it always boils down to one thing as to why they're not resolved and that's "greed".

You need to wait until your USA agent supplier is provided with it when released.

These 2 fixes are of interest
--> Memory leak. problem fix.
--> Diverse minor bugs fixed

Tonight I tried the Optibox Anaconda once again by blind scanning Galaxy 3C C band. I then did the same using the Openbox S9 receiver.

(Please note this is a secondary LNB and not fully adjusted, so not every channel perhaps didn't scan in)

Results:
Optibox Anaconda:
Time:32 minutes
Channels Discovered: 10

Openbox S9:
Time: 3 minutes
Channels Discovered: 14

Conclusion: The Optibox will be put out of service until a firmware upgrade is made available that corrects these blind scan problems.

It seems that they skipped 2.10.49 as well..I'm waiting for the new one from my dealer. I'm still on 2.10.29 and going by the history it looks like a lot of things have been fixed.

I just hope all the freezes and lockups in the internet tv menu have been fixed.

It looks like new firmware version 2.10.52 is now available on the Optibox website (Optibox Anaconda HD). However, when you click on "downloads" the files appear, but they can't be downloaded. Am I doing something wrong?

On the other forum, they say that it doesn't fix the blind scan problems :(

I might try the Gekko version later tonight anyway, if I have time.

The upgrade went flawless. Simply insert USB drive, it gets detected and the firmware upgrade begins once you select to do so.

I blind scanned Galaxy 16 C band and it took exactly 30 minutes. :(
On the plus side the weather now displays our real location (Gibsonia) rather than an area nearby. The weather graphics were also improved.
Plus like aways the HD video looks awesome as well as the onscreen graphics. I'm going to continue testing build 52 tomorrow after work.

Have you received your version yet? Any improvements? Any new internettv.feed files? Still working on mine.

Not yet.

Yeah my "English" .feed channel pack is at 110 channels grr the limit is 100 they need to fix that. I've stopped using the Russian editor as I found it stripped out all the spaces in the saved .feed file meaning it was corrupting all the long links.

Does anyone have the internet stream file from the amiko box? I would say the same streams will work, just need to compile them.

Will provide my file when its completed, its lot of testing and we have data caps here still.
