Im having issues in DC area with OTA channels when it rains the OTA channels go out before Dish sometimes Dish stays on. also the guide Data is wrong with wrong titles for stations the CW will be named Telumundo. So in order to record something I have to turn to Baltimore channel which comes in at 80 to 75%. Will Dish come and realign antenna or adjust it? The same person who did bad install also installed antenna.
By the way my indoor OTA never dropped signal when it rained.

I probably have the same guide issue as you, and I think this is due to the repack which IIRC is going on right now. Supposedly we should rescan to follow those changes.

As for you seeing Baltimore better than DC, I have no explanation for that. Rain doesn't much affect my reception to DC. I am in the fortunate circumstance that DC stations are in the same direction as Baltimore, so no rotating the antenna is needed for me to view either set. I have seen WMPT channel 22 out of Annapolis become unwatchable in the rain. But they're pretty far off in a different direction.

Ok i will rescan. I can't explain the rain fade either. But with an indoor antenna i could pull Baltimore channels with a somewhat good reception as long ass nobody went into bathroom or walked past my door but never had issues with DC locals. Ill rescan to see if guide data changes

No one has moved yet. There is another thread discussing the move dates for the affected stations.

I will note that WRC is operating with reduced power right now and WETA may have reduced power in anticipation of the repack which will have them ata new frequency and temporarily with a new trnsmitter location.

Another point-----the guide issues are normal-------For DISH. it seems that when a station is ina channel sharing agreement the -01 information always reflects the information for the main station. In the case if the CW station here they are sharing with a Univison station. Channel 20 also carries the information for Channel 5 as they channel share.

A rescan wont fix any of these issues.

Does the NFL regulate signal strength? As soon as 1pm hit my signal dropped for every channel an NFL game was on. I was barely getting Baltimore channels I lost ABC DC. CBS for Baltimore. Did a rescan and the signal went to 76-80. When I did a rescan in early August for NBC moving my signal was 95 98%.

I’ve thought the very same thing recently...

Good morning, cfkillers! If you are noticing signal issues on specific channels and only occasionally, be sure to reach out to our Technical Support team when this happens so we can investigate it with you. You can contact them via chat here: Direct Chat. -- Sam F
