What sofware version do you have in each of your 622?

Oh, now, don't be so hard on us. EVERYONE's a potential ship jumper; all it takes is for D* to offer something that is important to you and that's missing from Dish and there you go!

Except that many people switch for a perception, a mental rationalization.

The classic one is switching for a "bigger number", whether it is resolution (when PQ is primarily determined by bitrate), or number of HD channels, when many of those channels don't have any real HD content.

Off the top of my head, I seem to remember those are the Alaska-Hawaii channel numbers...

PS Yes, I would agree that having networks or RSN in HD versus SD would be a good reason to switch...

Those are the HD's on the AK and HI spotbeams. Are you in AK or HI?

I live in Iowa

I'm sure you're getting a signal error or check switch error right?

This isn't the first time I've heard of this tier popping up on a CONUS receiver. Reboot the box...do a check switch or just ignore it, it will go away.

uh-No.... also if you select one of the channels you get the 002 error, sat. 110and either spotbeam 27 or spotbeam 12

I am still betting on SciFi and USA HDs after the new year, when a 90 day period has gone by on DIRECTV. My current speculation is that the 110 HD TP doing the PPV (and now scifi/usa) will pick up 4 more HD channels out of AT100 for HD next month.

I wonder how long it will be before they finally say all HD is MPEG4. Perhaps move the MPEG-2 to the wings and make TP13 MPEG4 with the rest of AT100.

With the PBSHD/Direct announcement serving as a catalyst - and as with many others, I think: If Dish does not add "real programming" (NOT Voom and more PPV or sports), then I'm out of here and over to Direct as of January. I've been with Dish for 6 years, and Dish's promises far outweigh its performance. Love the 622 as I do, I'll chuck it and go elsewhere. Enough!

Except that many people stay for a perception, a mental rationalization.

The classic one is staying for a "widescreen picture", whether it is resolution (when PQ is primarily determined by how image fills the screen), or when they think (they don't know, but they thikn they know) that many of those channels don't have any real HD content.
:D
