Using Wireless Phonejacks with Direct TV

I am getting a Direct TV installation next week. Will I be able to do program guide updates as well as software updates via wireless phonejacks? I will be using HD, Tivo, and Std Direct TV receivers.

Phone line is for PPV billing, not EPG or software updates. EPG & software are downloaded via the dish and receiver. Make sure to get the wireless jacks approved for MODEM use, not the standard ones. If you want to save a few dollars you can get wire & a jack for walmart and install you own high quality line.

Yes, you can use your wireless phone jack with any of your HD or SD receivers. However, you can only use a 56k wireless phonr jack on the DVR. Also, remember that while guide info and software upgrades are sent to the SD and HD receivers over the satellite signal, the TiVo upgrades are sent by phonr.
