I don't need or want HD at this point in time, and television frequently serves as background these days. I just dropped from AT100 to Dish Family, because there are a few channels on Dish Family that I enjoy that can only be otherwise received by moving to a much more expensive package (Boomerang, Biography, Hallmark).

With the savings realized from this move, I'm giving the Starz package a try as well. In addition, there's the one cent Cinemax subscription, which was signed up for back in December, thanks to a tip-off on this forum. All in all, not a bad lineup for $34.99 a month..and not being a sports fan, I don't miss ESPN being on the dial at all.

DishHD Absolute for $29.99/mo instead of ~$59.00/mo by signing up for DishHD Gold + Platinum. Hopefully it lasts because that WAS the best price around, now it's not 'around'.

I have AT250 w/Sports Pack and locals. Still waiting for Comcast SportsNet Northwest and the return of GOL TV.

Still less then 25% of Satellite guys members who have E* have HD absolute. So my assumption was true , That E* customers still can't live with HD only packs.

I had the HD Only package, and I could have lived with that. Wife decided she couldn't live without the Sirius music. And I do enjoy having TCM and Discovery Health back.
