the last Braves game looks pretty good on TBS. seems to be HD. i made a point to record it to inspect closer later on.

TBS HD, Greatest channel ever!! Only channel we needed to be added!! Maybe it has something to do with you know who's favorite team that is playing this Wednesday evening!!:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D:D

I dont think I can remember an HD channel quite as pathetic as TBSHD. When baseball is over you guys will spend months trashing it.

Congrats on your Phillies. I must say - the METS sucked the past 2 weeks and didn't deserve to move on.

I caught maybe 15 seconds of the Braves game yesterday while flipping around between NFL games and it looked like the game was in HD. Looked way better than any episodes of Seinfeld that I caught earlier last week.

Tonight will be sweet....

Pats/Bengals in HD on ESPN
Rockies/Padres in HD on TBS
Heroes in HD on NBC

Great night to have D* :D

Baseball, at least, will be fine.

And there is no such thing as TRUE HD. It is a marketing term only. Get over it.:hatsoff:

I thought I heard that TBS was doing all of their original shows in HD. Also, they've been showing The Office in widescreen so maybe it will be hd tomorrow night.

There are a bunch of HD chanels that I don't watch, why trash it. It's about content boys, not just a pretty picture. There isn't anything except sports ever on that channel that anyone could consider must see. Why trash any channel, just don't watch it.

I have to agree that I am looking forward to the playoffs more now that we have confirmed (it seems, at least) that the games will be in HD on TBS.

I thought the Braves game looked great on Sunday - better than I've seen on Fox or ESPN - although that could have just been the shock of seeing actual HD on TBS...

Go Cubs!

This is also probably the first you've seen in MPEG4 as ESPN and such are still in Mpeg2, That too could be the difference you are seeing :up

Jimbo

People will trash it just like they do TNTHD.

The game last night was good. The picture.... Wow that was bad. Drop pixels, sound was off, grainy. It just wasn't professional.

Damn, I didn't see that the game was going to be on TBS last night, Brewer's words are not encouraging. Off the topic but, honest to god I see improvement across the board for the HD channels in the last week. The LOLs here in columbus really look great. Prison Break, Life, Chuck all those shows, I really think they look better than they did using the OTA with the HR-250

Hey Brew, on the other thread (Padres/Rockies game on TBSHD Tonight) I am seeing raving reviews for the picture quality. Seems we are having a bit of a disagreement here, I would like to hear what others think. Vurbano, Questioner, Scobuck, Jimbo, Charper, Hemi, any of you guys, or others that I didn't think of off the top of my head, how about a review? Maybe a rating out of 10? I didn't see it.

I didnt see much of it to offer an opinion. The couple seconds I saw didnt blow me away. MNF, Weeds, Californication was on. I will watch the Red Sox wednesday night though.

I watched the game through Cablevision and saw the same bad PQ. For the most part the PQ was ok but there were grainy and some cameras did not look ok. There were some problems with them. If I compare to other baseball games in other channels, this look the worse of all of them including fox.

You didn't ask for my opinion, but I'll give it anyway...

I thought the game looked good, but not great. The little bit of the Braves game I saw on Sunday afternoon looked much better than the one last night, so hopefully that's what we'll see going forward - maybe a rush to get something put together for that game last night led to some of the issues....?

Good point. THanks for the input!:)
