Does E* also counts NBA-HD. I have yet to see anything on that channel. Has anyone seen anything on that channel?

These channels are nationally available to anyone. Last I checked dish doesn't make the blackout rules or decide what these RSNs will broadcast in HD. If they broadcast something that has no blackout rules then anyone can watch. Because of this I get a number of differenet college games in HD on multiple RSNs not in my area.
I'd also consider HD PPV more of an HD channel than the other nationals we've acquired lately. I'm sure if you calculated the amount of HD programming provided by each the PPV channels are the hands down winners.
At least this marketing hub-bub has come back to bite Dish. Remember when Lifetime was stating that Dish had 30+ channels dedicated solely to sports and didn't have that many that were aimed at women? With these additional channels, that argument is only strengthened. This might come back to harm Dish when stations renegotiate their deal.
Can you please provide a list of what channels you think D* is upconvering channels on their own just so they can call them HD? Folks, including Scott, have been saying this but when asked for something to backup statements like this all you get is silence.

Yes HD ppv channels have all HD. thats not the point, you cant subscribe to a HD ppv package.
Bogus statement - they are game only and available only WITHIN local markets. I quote directly from Echostar:

E isn't dead in the water. They have the CAPACITY to do what they need to do. I hope they ACTUALLY do it. They need to stop deluding themselves with PPV and multiple sports channels empty of content. Will they step up to the plate? I hope so.

D* already has SciFi "HD", but from what i had read here and other places, SciFi does not have an HD feed, and there has been no announcement from SciFi of a launch of SciFi HD, and there is nothing on the SciFi site, which is why i stated what i did, ScoBuck is claiming there is HD content on Scifi, which is great news that i had not heard, but it seems odd that it would be done with no fanfare from SciFi.
Look hard enough, and you'll find a report of a C-band uplink of SciFi-HD. If D* was actually upconverting the SD feed, that uplink wouldn't be necessary.
