Ohio State does not want to play LSU in the BCS Championship...

Lets see, the BCS is all about who the guys running the computer WANT to see play the NC game, how does anyone actually know if the guys are putting in accurate info into them computers.
Case in point :
There is NO WAY IN HELL that a team that is 7th in the polls ends up number 2 after one week, even if two teams lose above them.

Well at least Hawaii got a game. That was one hell of a comeback they had. I really miss seeing the old run and shoot offense!
I have said before, that JUST BECAUSE you end up undefeated, doe NOT give you a right to a championship game....BUT, I would LOVE to see Hawaii play in a BCS bowl....I bet they would be fun to watct....
What gets me is people dump on Hawaii for having an easy schedule, but if you see the schedule Kansas had, they played just as weak of a schedule and they got a BCS bowl game over Missouri!

Were that ranked when they played, thats what should be looked at, particularly THIS year with every team losing this year and no one wanting to win the top 10 shuffled out several times this year... many years the top team NEVER moved all year, as long as they won, close or blowouts (USC comes to mind, and I'm sure there were others)
You sound frightened that OSU is going to lose another big game. This time it will be to LSU. IMO there is no way in Hell teams with such weak schedules should be ranked so high like VT playing DUKE, Miami, FL st, NC, East Carolina, Viginia etc

I hate playing Arkansas. At least it might be a team we can beat. We were so damn close. That loss to BC killed us, and we still had a NC shot even with that loss. I'm not too upset, but i want a Hokie National Championship oh so bad, and while i am here that would have been even better. And personally i would prefer Miami over NO, so maybe next year, i'll get to go back to miami like this year, except nect year for a NC.
and yes we did get our asses beat by LSU, but and a big BUT, i think we would hold our own against them now. it would be a close matchup though

I am against playoffs in College. This isnt professional sports. Its college. It really doesnt matter who is #1. The only thing a playoff system would lead too is more gambling, payoffs, bribes and corruption than there already is.
A national championship? Based on what exactly? Perhaps you should try fielding a real team with a real schedule. IMO every BCS bowl team, even Hawaii would wipe the floor with VT. Hold your own against LSU? hold your own what? crotches?
Tell me, exactly what victory this season makes you worthy? Who did you beat? DUKE? or was it the almost lost to East Carolina game? Or the embarrassing loss to BC? Perhaps the 48-7 pasting by LSU?
And how in the hell does a team move up from #5 to #1 in two weeks without even playing a down?
I think it's all just a matter of pollsters wanting to punish a team immediately after a loss. The polls have been off all year - BC, South Florida, Kansas, all ranked as high as #2 with their candyass schedules? Give me a break! At the end, the powers that be looked over the entire body of work from each team, and finally got it right - or at least closer than they've been all year.
One good thing about the various conference championships is that things get ironed out a little better before the final choice is made. This even helps the conferences who don't have a CG.
As ridiculous as the BCS system is, anyone who's team makes it to the MNC should be grateful. I am.

Vurbano, I did not say we deserved a NC. Far from it. I don't think any team deserves it this year. I said we had the shot at one. Far form making the assumption that it would be a deserving bid, but honestly, i couldn't care less if we deserved it or not if we got in. I don't think LSU deserves it, plus I hate Les Miles. He's a crazy lunatic cocky ass hole. Does anyone remember that throw to the endzone that if WR had not caught they would have lost a 3RD game! OSU I don't like either. My preference would have been OK vs USC. Now that game i would have watched! This garbage national championship wont bother get a watch. i'll go out for mexican that night. the hawaii game should be good, and WVU game will be very good. Our game will be ok, but damnit i wanted to lay an ass whoopin to WVU
And Duke doesn't count in my mind. We had BC, but sh*t happens to the best of us. ECU was the 1st game of the season. I think anyone who has watched our team would tell you the leaps and bounds improvements since that game. And we just got shook in the LSU game. Plain and simple. The defense was a disaster. The O-line was terrible, now it's justs bad.

Please explain your statement about "hanging" with LSU? Do you think your patty cake schedule has hardened your team? Beating the incredible BC eagles makes you ready? Perhaps it was that inspiring 7 point victory over NORTH CAROLINA? :haha I think you would lose worse than the first time. I do not know how in the hell anyone ranks VT #7. The Polls need to realize that Vick doesnt play there anymore. Weight of schedule needs to be increased by about 500% IMO. Get rid of these paper lions.
Simple. Look at VT now, versus them in the 2ND WEEK!!! Huge improvements even with the loss to BC and a 40 pt dogging to LSU the computers have VT #1. And the strength of schedule was 11 in the nation btw. Um Arkansas = 109 out of 110 in strength of schedule buddy.
FYI, there are 119 teams and schedules. VT needs to focus on beating a top 10 team and stop crying. Something they didnt do this year. Stop talking about other peoples schedules and change your own. It is IMO the weakest of all of them. The ACC and the Coastal. Hey I hear Walsingham Acadamy is willing to play ya in Williamsburg :haha
