Any inside info on this years E* price increase? It not sounding very encourageing

I'm almost positive you are correct. I think it is until Feb of 2009.

With the addition of all the new HD channels as well as the Big 10 Network, I'm not surprised to see the increases. I also wouldn't be surprised if the actual increases in February were a little higher than normal.

Top 100 going up by $3
Top 200 and Top 250 going up by $2
HD enabling fee going up by $1
AEP going up by $4.99
Dish Latino bonus back going to be $14.00 from $12.49

Come March Directv will have their price increase too , so I wouldn't rush to switch just yet.

I have not heard anything yet, however this news would not surprise me.

If the AEP price increase is true, that will make it about a $15 price increase over the past few years.

D* currently has a promo going, where their Premier pack is $79 for 12 months.

We pay close to $130 for 2 HD-DVRs and DISH's AEP every month. Now I know the D* price will go up, but how does it compare to D*'s price normally, for 2 HD-DVRs?

That is enough to make me start looking around... may switch to D* rather than have my bill go up by almost 15% in the 18 months I've had E*'s service.

Yeah well folk that are with Direct are going to half to pay 5 bucks for the HD Extra now so Direct probably going to have a increase as well.

Yes I have heard that there will be a price increase from DirecTV, however this increase will not come out until after CES.

If I add it up right, that's a total of $15 for the HD pack. DISH charges $20 for theirs.

Dont forget about the upfront cost of the HD-DVR threw D*, With my current setup it would be just at 597 bucks after rebates just in startup cost. I too have the AEP w/ hd w/ locals... its almost time for me to cancel my cust account and start using my employee account.

Didn't D* have an account where you could have like 10 hd dvrs and get EVERY channel? Does anyone have a link to that?
