24 month comittment with COSTCO DVR?

Greetings,

I just ordered DTV with a HD DVR and a programming package. I am getting a bit nervous about the 24 month ($480) cancellation fee.

I was unable to get a free DVR, the best I could do was $99.

I can purchase the same DVR through COSTCO for $169.

If I purchase the DVR through COSTCO and update my existing order with D* to remove the DVR, will I still have to deal with the 24 month cancellation policy?

Yes, because you are not buying it through Costco, you are still leasing. Any way you do it, adding advanced equipment to your account will result in an additional two year commitment.
