Will California D* Receiver work in Panama City, Panama

I am going to Panama City, Panama for 6 months & want to know if I bring a D* receiver from home (Los Angeles) will it
work in Panama & will I get the same programs that I
currently receive at home.

I'm not even sure the D* signal reaches that far south...

If you can get the sats on the correct type of dish, it should work for the national channels but will not work for anything that is spotbeamed.

At the very best he may get some of the main 101 stuff with a larger than normal dish. but the spot beams and new 99/103 and maybe even 110 & 119 are almost guaranteed to be a NO.
