Any news on new features?

I know everyone is pre-occupied with new HD but what are the software folks at Dish up to. Is there any news on the remote programming feature that we beta tested? Also wondering about the capability to move the EHD between receivers on your account more than three times.

As bad as the remote scheduling was they probably had to start over from scratch.

The web interface is 90% of the feature. It was very, very slow. It didn't even look professional to me.

So I was on the phone with a Dish Tech lady yesterday, and while we waited for my 622 to reboot again (thats another story) I asked her what was up with the online scheduling. She said as far as she knew they hadn't done anything with that since they pulled the beta testing. That was before christmas wasn't it? That is wierd if it really is just sitting on the shelf being crappy like it was...

"as far as she knew" .... means she's not kept up-to-date or informed about this feature. Fact is, you don't spend time and money "training" employees on a feature until it's "done".

Dude, I believe that I speak for a lot of others here in saying, if you are going to have that kind of additude, go to DBS Talk. Scott has stated several times in the past week, and I believe its even in his signature line, that he will be away and may not be able to answer back or reply quickly.

Besides, Scott is never shy about stating any rumors he has heard. its a safe bet that if he does hear anything, and if he is going to post it up here, he will start his own post about the subject.

I hardly doubt he has any information about upcoming features in his head, purposely not releasing them. Then, after seeing your post, says to himself "Oh, TAWhite wants know know, might as well tell everyone!"

Maybe team summit wil have updates on all the things we heard about last year, maybe those going can ask then.

But i too am interested, and it has gone quiet, in the following,
1. 211 + DVR capability
2. the ability to use shared network storage - they showed an HP system i think last year
3. The ability to share ehd across 622/722, at the moment there is the limit

oky you want it you got it the new software will turn on your tv and scrub your floors. Plus we will get the ability to make all SD shows display the HD logo thus we can say we have more HD than anyone---need more rumors????
