Your logic is faulty, as you have bad taste. :)

Says you? Are you the almighty taste God?

Different people like different things. I don't like Sci-Fi or USA either, but I don't go around and accuse people of having bad taste for enjoying them.

another vote from the "lowest common denominators"

The only reason I could see anybody enjoying Voom would be where they had Alzheimer's.

They would tune in every 8 hours and think what they were seeing is new. :up

You mean the vast, vast majority...that lowest common denominator?

Right now if you score the poll as neutral or advantageous for Dish vs. negative to Dish's bottom line it is 330:70 .

Seems like they got it right...I am guessing they did LOTS of homework and it is sampling a VERY oddball group...the one that visit forums. The 99%ers dont visit support forums and I would guess the 5:1 we see via members here is more like 10:1 or even higher in the "general subscription public".

Another non-Voom watcher.

You have no idea what you are talking about - obviously.

The general subscription public watches SD on their HDTV and they think its HD. They could care less about any real HD channels. They were watching BSG in SD and loving it the whole time the forum was going berzerk because Dish wouldn't turn on a "highly profitable channel" that they had uplinked for over a year but not turned on.

this is weird. yesterday i went to the dish latino website and it had all the voom channels. they didnt update the page. now they took out the voom channels except world cinema but they didnt update it either with the new channels!

Excuse me, I've had DishHD for over a year now, still didn't have enough time to see everything that was available on VOOM, regardless of how much of it was repeats.

I saw all of "Captain Scarlet" and "UFO" and a few good movies but by no means all of them.

All true...but I am going strictly by the numbers and Dish is doing the same.

Right or wrong, them numbers don't lie.

Sort of like that Mac vs. PC issue...sure the Mac is a superior OS and platform, but we all use PCs...well 95% (yes 95%) of us do.

Wouldnt surprise me if they were just waiting to see which VOOM channels people were making the most fuss over. Then maybe they will add those back and drop the rest.

So I will fuss and say "Put the Voom movie channels back!"

Looks like VOOM said no to 5 channels of content. Too bad, they were nice channels, they could have made 5 great channels. CVC's carriage contract is up at the end of next month if VOOM makes it that long without Dish.

Great D* added 22 new channels which will have how much new hd programming? Alot of the channels just upcovert sd content and its not true HD. Atleast Voom had true hd content not upcoverted crap. The voom channels will hopefully find a new home. I agree with many people who are saying that the fact the Voom channels were unique to D* was a selling point. Everyone is going to have tnt and tbs in hd. These are 15 channels with addtional HD cotent. Rush and Rave are my favorites.....along with ultra and HD News. Sorry to see them off D*
